Hello HCCM Fans and HAPPY Thanksgiving!!! As I type those words, I can’t help but feel a tinge of sadness and, yet, all the while….HOPE! For those who are experiencing hardship, sadness, and despair, we hear you. We see you. We are HERE for you!!! Sadly, this is happening more often than not to our family
and friends this year. And HCCM is seeing A LOT of it. As of September, HCCM has already provided food to OVER 100,000 people. While, YES, this is AMAZING! Yet, it is so sad as well. Why??? Why are we having to serve so many families? Does it matter? Of course, it matters. YET, as I think about Giving THANKS…. I can’t help TRY and FOCUS on the GOOD. It is so easy to take the bad, the one or two things, the one or two people, who can ruin it all for me. We can do 499 things RIGHT and FANTASTIC, helping others, providing food, and so on. Yet, the one person who complains. The one setback we experience, can ruin the entire moment. And suddenly, it’s doom and gloom. So…. Let’s focus on the GOOD!!! THINK of all the GOOD in your life. Do you have a roof over your head? Do you
have a family? Do you have clothes on your back? Did you have a hot meal today?
For me, this Thanksgiving I am going to focus on ALL the GOOD in my life. I am focusing on the people who I have in my life that bring me JOY, HAPPINESS, and LOVE. I am focusing on our loving community, who are sooooo giving to others in need. I am focusing on our AMAZING staff and volunteers, who
TOGETHER create a warm, welcoming atmosphere to help those in need. These people give countless hours to serve our community, helping our families and friends…. All the while, they too may be going through something themselves. I am ever so GRATEFUL this Thanksgiving to give THANKS on so many
little things that make it ALL BIG!!!! Happy Thanksgiving HCCM Fans!! We love all of you!!

Gene - I am most thankful for the people in my life. From my amazing wife to whom I get to experience our life journey together to my immediate family and closest friends and the many friendships I have made in the community and throughout my career.
Christine - Thankful for having an amazing strong mother. She ended her radiation, and her hair has finally grown back! I am grateful for having the opportunity to be employed at HCCM by helping the community when they are going through a tough situation. I am grateful for my family always supporting me. I am grateful for people who are kind and helpful.
Jessica - I am very thankful for my family; they are so supportive and loving. I am thankful for my job and all the wonderful people I get to work with.
Linda – I am grateful for living in America and for all the people who work to keep us safe. I am thankful for my family, friends, and my job where I get to work with amazing people!
Erika - I'm thankful for my family and friends who always have my back and make life joyful. I'm also grateful for the opportunity to work at HCCM, where we can make a positive impact in our community by helping those in need.
Kandy -I am grateful for my wonderful family and for God's love and provision for us. I am incredibly blessed to work for an organization whose mission is to help others, with not just food, but so many other resources.
