Late Hours, Greater Access for Our Community

Life rarely slows down. Work schedules, family responsibilities, and unexpected challenges can make each week feel full. For many of us, meals are something we can count on. For some of our neighbors, that is not always true.

We see that need every day, and it shapes how we serve our community. Access to food should not depend on a perfect schedule. It should be something people can rely on, even during the busiest times.

That is why Thursday evenings are so important to us. We extend our hours to create more opportunities for our neighbors to receive support. The Pantry, Community Cupboard, and FFFA all stay open later. The Community Cupboard is available until 6:50 pm, offering a quick option for those coming straight from work or managing a full day.

We also partner with Rockbridge Church on New Hope Drive to host a mobile distribution on the fourth Thursday of each month from 5 to 7 pm. This evening distribution brings fresh produce into the community and helps reach families who cannot attend during the day.

For those with monthly grocery appointments, we offer evening hours from 4 to 7 pm. This added flexibility helps ensure that no one misses out due to timing. Our volunteers are there each week, ready to serve with care and efficiency.

Thursday nights may be busy, but they show the strength of a connected community. When we make space for one another, we make a real difference.
