Sometimes, it’s the little things that can make a difference. At our Welcome Center, we have a small library where clients and their families can pick up a book, take it home, and enjoy it at no cost.
Our little library may not have rows and rows of shelves, but it has something for everyone. From children’s books to books for adults, it gives families an opportunity to find something they enjoy while visiting the Welcome Center. For children especially, choosing a book of their own can be a fun part of their visit.
The library is another simple way we can serve our community beyond meeting immediate needs. Reading can provide entertainment, encourage learning, and give families something they can enjoy together at home.
We are proud of our small library and love seeing books leave our shelves and go home with members of our community. It may be a small part of our Welcome Center, but it is one more way we can make people feel welcomed, supported, and cared for.
