Meet Stephanie Van Arsdale
I was born in Louisiana, (Geaux Tigers!), but spent my last 30 years in Texas. I’m married to my favorite TX Longhorn, and we have five awesome kiddos—two are married, two are engaged, so we have lots of exciting family celebrations ahead! My favorite three littles call me “Honey” and I LOVE every second I get with them, and we have two more littles due in November!
I love spending time with my family, watching college football, entertaining, planning events, decorating, traveling, and finding any excuse to make something feel special. I’m happiest when all of my kids and grandkids are together—a house full of my people is pretty much my favorite place to be. The last few years I've really made my mental, physical, and spiritual health a big priority, and just recently went back to school after 25 years earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I'm super proud of this accomplishment! I also enjoy being involved in my community, helping others, building meaningful relationships, and usually have at least one project (or five!) going at any given time.
What book or movie have you recently read/seen, and why would you recommend it? The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins. Hands down. I recommend it to everyone now. It completely changed the way I look at people, stress, and situations I can't control. Instead of wasting energy trying to manage everyone else's thoughts or actions, just let them be. Then the “let me” part gives me the power to decide how much energy I want to give something/someone, and then how I choose to respond. Such a simple concept, but incredibly freeing. Less overthinking, more peace. I wish I'd read it years ago.
What fictional place would you like to visit? Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls. It just feels like home. A charming small town, quirky festivals, coffee on every corner, and a community where everyone knows each other. I think I'd fit right in.
What’s something that recently made you smile? Getting everyone together. We have five amazing kids, two are married, two more are engaged (Two upcoming weddings in 2027!), three precious grandbabies, and two more on the way. My favorite title these days is "Honey," and this season of life is one I'll never take for granted. My heart has never been so full.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard? People may forget what you said or did, but they'll never forget how you made them feel. I've found that genuine relationships are built by making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether in business or in life, people matter most.
If you could have an unlimited supply of one thing, what would it be? Frequent flyer miles. There are too many places I want to see... and way too many people (really grandbabies) I want to see often!
If you could give your past self advice, what would it be? Everything always has a way of working out. You'll spend far too much time worrying about things that never happen. Trust yourself more, give God the tough stuff, just be present and enjoy the journey instead of trying to control every step. He’s got you...rest there!
