CHEERS HCCM Fans…. And Let’s CELEBRATE!!!
As 2025 ended, I had A LOT to reflect on. 2025 was a year of MANY challenges for Hill Country Community Ministries. If you recall, HCCM started the year under contract to purchase an existing 30,000 s.f. building. This was to create a VERY MUCH NEEDED non-profit mall in our community. Unfortunately, as you know, that did not come to fruition. After I took a couple of days off to mourn that loss and dig deep into what is it that God is doing for us, I was reminded of this prayer I heard many moons ago:
God answers my prayers in one of four ways:
No, I love you too much
No, not yet
Yes, I thought you would never ask
Yea, and here is more
On December 5th, Hill Country Community Ministries closed on 5.9 acres in Leander, TX. Wooohooo!!!!! This is WAAAAAAY bigger than any one of us could have ever imagined or dreamed of. Why? Because not only will we fulfill our future facility commitment we began in late 2022, but there will also be MORE to come.
More opportunities to help our family, friends and neighbors who have faced a crisis
More opportunities for our family, friends, businesses, groups, etc. to serve and volunteer
More opportunities to invest into those who need us, to pour into them spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally
Highlights, Accomplishments and CELEBRATIONS of 2025
Provided food to 37,522 families, this was 128,586 people
Distributed 1,207,738 pounds of food…. WOW… that is A LOT of food!!!
HCCM’s thrift store vouchers to 1,528 families, of which 145 of these families were affected by the floods of July 2025. These vouchers are redeemable for free clothing, shoes, household essentials, and other items. This also includes pots/pans, linens, housewares, and furniture. Thrift store vouchers redeemed were OVER $37,300 (thrift store pricing) directly back into your community. What you donate matters, and it goes BACK to our families in need. Thank you!!!
HCCM also provided financial assistance to our local and flood victim families with over $20,000 in rental assistance, utility assistance and shelter.
There is soooooo much more HCCM gets to do because of YOU!!! With over 200+ monthly volunteers, HCCM receives OVER $1.07 MILLION “in-kind” donated services because of the 31,887 volunteers’ hours YOU gave to us, to serve our families and friends.
We have A LOT to CELEBRATE this past year, with so much more to come. Speaking of, you should have received an email invitation. You’ll be able to talk to me and some of our Board of Directors about our vision for the future.
