As many of you know, we’re entering the giving season. This is the time of year when we all seem to become a little more patient, a little more thoughtful, and a lot more generous. It’s amazing to watch our community come together with such joy and kindness.
We also know that this season may not feel as bright for every family. That’s why it’s so inspiring to see how our area always steps up. When one person faces a challenge, someone else rises to the occasion. The generosity and compassion in this community never fail to shine.
To make sure your kindness reaches the right hands, here are a few friendly reminders for donating:
The HCCM Food Pantry and HCCM Thrift Store are separate. All household items, including clothes, should be taken to the Thrift Store at 1501 Leander Drive, Building C, Unit 3, Leander, TX 78641.
The Pantry does accept brand new socks and underwear still in the package, which can be dropped off at 1005 Lacy Drive.
We welcome canned and dry goods, produce, and all hygiene items.
We must decline pre-opened, damaged, expired, or unlabeled items, as well as meat, expired baby food or formula, refrigerated items, and any vitamins or supplements.
Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with extended hours on Thursday until 7 p.m. Please do not leave food unattended on our property. Weather, animals, and other factors could prevent your donation from safely reaching those who need it.
If you have a large donation or a food drive, please call ahead at (512) 259-0360 to give us a heads up. Preferred drop-off times are late mornings or afternoons.
We’re so grateful for everyone who gives their time, energy, and resources to support our mission. Keeping these tips in mind ensures your generosity goes directly to the families who need it most. Thank you for continuing to make this community such a special and giving place.
