For many, mammograms are the most effective way to detect breast cancer early—when it’s most treatable. These screenings can identify cancer before it becomes large enough to feel or cause any noticeable symptoms.
Lone Star Circle of Care’s Big Pink Bus delivers vital early detection services for breast cancer in Williamson County and nearby areas. The mobile unit offers low-cost or free 3-D digital screening mammograms to most women, regardless of their insurance coverage or ability to pay. When breast cancer is detected early, the 5-year survival rate is nearly 100%.

We will also be hosting the Big Pink Bus at our Florence Fresh Food for All distribution on October 25th. This will be located at Florence High School: 401 FM 970, Florence, TX. 9:30 am – 4pm.

General eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Are age 40 and older
- Are uninsured, or have coverage from MAP, MAP Basic, or select commercial insurance
- Have not had a mammogram in the last 365 days
- Are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Are not experiencing breast issues such as lumps, discharge, or pain
- Can independently walk up and down stairs
Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that the mammogram will be free. Each interested person will be assessed for health insurance status or eligibility for sliding fee scale or grant funding.
