I’m thrilled to share the success of one of our clients who recently graduated from the HCCM Pathways Program.
When Gary first came to us, he was understandably confused and disappointed that he ever needed to ask for help. But through his commitment and the support of our program, he made incredible progress. As part of the Pathways Program, I helped him apply for government assistance programs like SNAP, update his resume, search and apply for jobs, and connect with food resources and other community support.
Gary was consistent in attending his appointments and never hesitated to ask for help when needed. Thanks to his hard work and determination, he now has a full-time job and no longer relies on our services.
When I asked him how HCCM helped him through his journey, he said:
“you saved me about $300 a month that I didn’t have and kept me from needing to go to the grocery store. Plus, I could always come to the Community Cupboard if I needed a little extra. You helped me build and update my resume, look for jobs and gave me hope. I’m a very happy camper. You all welcome anyone to come. Everyone is very friendly, sweet, and kind. Everyone wants to help. I appreciate all your help.”
