Meet Leena Tucker

Leena Tucker has been a dedicated volunteer at HCCM for over four years, contributing more than 500 hours of her time! She first began in the food pantry, primarily helping out in the Community Cupboard. About a year and a half ago, Leena took on an additional role as a Case Manager, expanding the impact of her service even further.

Here’s a little insight from Leena herself:

“I'm Leena, and I volunteer in the Cupboard two afternoons a week. I love meeting and interacting with the people who come in—getting to know our clients and learning what's going on in their lives. I also do case management one afternoon a week, where I meet with new clients to help them learn about available resources, and check in with existing clients to provide updates and continued support. I LOVE volunteering! HCCM feels like a family—full of wonderful, giving people. I get so much out of being of service and being part of a community that shares that same heart. It means the world to hear a client say, ‘Thank you for all you do—you don’t know how much this means to me and my family.’ Knowing I’m making a difference in someone’s life is what makes it all so rewarding.”

Fun Facts About Leena:

  • Favorite comfort food: Cheetos and Pop-Tarts
  • First job: Counselor at a day camp—one of her campers was blind
  • Favorite show: Reruns of The Twilight Zone
  • Best advice: Let it be
  • Dream superpower: Invisibility so that she could be a fly on the wall

Leena is truly an incredible asset to our volunteer team. Her passion, compassion, and attention to detail shine through in everything she does. We are so lucky to have her—what would we do without her?
