Volunteer Spotlight - Patricia Adrian

Please meet Patricia Adrian, a volunteer who helps us at both the food pantry and thrift store.  Patricia has been a great blessing to us over these past few years.  I asked Patricia to tell us a little about herself and why she enjoys volunteering at HCCM:

My name is Patricia Adrian.  I am from Grand Rapids, Mich.  I have been married to Tim Adrian for 12 years.  We have 3 grown kids together and 11 grandchildren who are the love of our lives.  We enjoy traveling to different places and spending time with our friends.  We attend Kingdom Church in Cedar Park and serve different ministries within our church. We have also been on a team of a marriage ministry for 8 years.  I love missions too and have been on many mission trips. I have a heart for serving and being the hands and feet of Jesus.

I have served at HCCM for 5 years.  I enjoy helping here and seeing the faces on people when they come into the pantry and leave being blessed with food.   When people find treasures at the Thrift Store and I get to see it my heart is full.   God calls me to serve and I love doing it.

1- What is something that recently made you smile?
Looking at and watching my grandson Kylo interact with his papa.  He is so bright and funny at 7 years old with the things he says.  Then he looks at me and says, “grandma, I love you.”  Precious words.

2-Would you rather be the funniest or smartest person in the room?
I enjoy making people smile and I like to laugh so that question is easy.  Funniest person.  I'm the class clown.

3-Would you rather meet your ancestors or descendants?
My answer would be descendants.   I would rather meet those who are to come and if I had the chance to change some generational curses I would do that.  Also to see my precious, great, great, and great, great, great grandchildren.

4-What is your 15 minutes of fame?
My 15 minutes of fame was in El Salvador last year 2022 sharing my testimony with a rural church there. Knowing my life has been a mess and hoping all I have been through would help someone know our past is forgiven, redeemed and made new by the blood of the Lamb.

5-What artist/band is your guilty pleasure?
Santana-  I like their style and sound along with the mix of English and Spanish. And he can play a guitar!
